YOSU CELEBRATES DANIEL WILLIAMS, FATIMA OWOLARAFE AS FUD SECURES 3RD PLACE AT CIPM NATIONAL QUIZ
The Yoruba Students’ Union (YOSU), Federal University Dutse Chapter, proudly celebrates two of its members, Comrade Daniel Williams and Comrade Fatima Owolarafe, following their outstanding representation of Federal University Dutse at the CIPM National Quiz Competition.
The competition brought together participants from different institutions, providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, preparation, teamwork, and intellectual capacity on a national platform.
Representing Federal University Dutse, Daniel Williams and Fatima Owolarafe were part of the university’s team that secured 3rd place nationally at the competition. The achievement was also accompanied by a ₦1 million cash prize for the contestants, as reported in the Federal University Dutse Official Weekly Newsletter.
For YOSU, the achievement represents more than a competition result. It is another demonstration of the talent, intellectual capacity, and potential that exist among students of Federal University Dutse and within the Yoruba student community.
The Union commends Daniel and Fatima for their commitment and for representing the University positively on a national stage. Their participation demonstrates the importance of students taking advantage of opportunities beyond their regular classroom activities.
YOSU also encourages its members to look beyond academic grades alone and actively seek opportunities to participate in academic competitions, conferences, leadership programmes, skill-development activities, innovation challenges, cultural programmes, and other extracurricular engagements.
Such platforms provide students with opportunities to develop confidence, teamwork, communication skills, professional networks, and practical experience while representing their institution and communities.
The Union therefore calls on other YOSU members to emulate this spirit of participation and excellence. Every student has an opportunity to contribute and excel in one area or another, and members are encouraged to remain alert to opportunities within and outside the University.
The Progress Era administration remains committed to encouraging the academic and overall development of its members and celebrating achievements that bring honour to YOSU and Federal University Dutse.
Once again, YOSU congratulates Comrade Daniel Williams and Comrade Fatima Owolarafe on this remarkable achievement and wishes them greater accomplishments in their academic and professional journeys.
Your achievement is a reminder: excellence does not stop at the classroom door.
