YOSU FUD Executive Council Holds Maiden Strategic Planning Meeting for the 2026/2027 Session

The Executive Council of the Yoruba Students' Union (YOSU), Federal University Dutse Chapter, has successfully held its maiden strategic planning meeting for the 2026/2027 administrative session. The meeting brought together members of the executive council to deliberate on the union's vision, operational priorities, and developmental roadmap for the academic year. Discussions focused on promoting unity among Yoruba students, strengthening student welfare, improving communication, and introducing innovative digital solutions to enhance union activities. Speaking during the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of accountability, teamwork, and transparent leadership. He reaffirmed the administration's commitment to building a student-centered union that prioritizes academic excellence, cultural preservation, and meaningful engagement across the university community. Several committees were constituted to oversee upcoming projects, including orientation programmes for new students, cultural exhibitions, leadership development initiatives, educational seminars, sporting activities, and community outreach programmes. The Executive Council also reviewed plans for expanding the union's digital presence through the newly launched YOSU Digital Portal, which provides members with access to official news, executive profiles, event updates, constitutional documents, media galleries, and downloadable resources. Members unanimously agreed that regular stakeholder engagement and effective communication would remain central to achieving the administration's objectives throughout the session. Students were encouraged to participate actively in forthcoming programmes and contribute constructive ideas that would further strengthen the union. The leadership expressed appreciation to all members and stakeholders for their continued trust, support, and commitment to the progress of the Yoruba Students' Union. Together, the union remains committed to its vision of fostering unity, leadership, cultural excellence, and academic advancement among Yoruba students of the Federal University Dutse.
